Joan and Mark Hemker started Hemker Game Farm with their
first collection of Waterfowl. |

Hemker Game Farm acquired their first pair of Whitetail deer
and Black Bear |
| 1985 - |
Hemker Game Farm added Pronghorn Antelope and their first
pair of Reindeer |
| 1992 - |
Hemker Game Farm became Hemker Wildlife Park later that year
they added their first six Black-footed Penguins. |
| 1994 - |
Hemker Wildlife Park opened to the public for the first
time. |
| 2000 - |
Hemker Wildlife Park added new exhibits such as their
African Safari land |
| 2006 - |
Mark Hemker passed away. His family made a unanimous
decision to continue on with the park being opened to the
public. |
| 2008 - |
Hemker Wildlife Park became Hemker Park & Zoo. The zoo
adds a new picnic area. They also added a farm petting area. |
