1977 -	Joan and Mark Hemker started Hemker Game Farm with their first collection of Waterfowl.
1980 -	Hemker Game Farm acquired their first pair of Whitetail deer and Black Bear
1985 -	Hemker Game Farm added Pronghorn Antelope and their first pair of Reindeer
1992 -	Hemker Game Farm became Hemker Wildlife Park later that year they added their first six Black-footed Penguins.
1994 -	Hemker Wildlife Park opened to the public for the first time.
2000 -	Hemker Wildlife Park added new exhibits such as their African Safari land
2006 -	Mark Hemker passed away. His family made a unanimous decision to continue on with the park being opened to the public.
2008 -	Hemker Wildlife Park  became Hemker Park & Zoo. The zoo adds a new picnic area. They also added a farm petting area.
